Susan N. Muchai, MSN, MBA, RN-BC, is a Ph.D. student in Health Education and Promotion at Walden University, specializing in Population Health. She previously served as a Nursing Administrative Coordinator at Penn Medicine and recently transitioned into a Case Management role at Christiana Care.
With extensive experience in nursing administration and leadership, Susan has expertise in patient progression, staff development, and operational management within acute care settings. In her current role, she focuses on coordinating patient care, developing discharge plans, and ensuring seamless transitions across the care continuum. Susan excels in addressing complex discharge challenges, resolving systemic barriers, and enhancing patient outcomes through collaboration with interdisciplinary teams.
Susan’s research focuses on addressing health disparities, particularly mental health among African immigrant women, with the goal of developing culturally informed, evidence-based solutions that promote health equity. Beyond her professional and academic work, she is an active community advocate, mentoring young girls and volunteering at health fairs to raise awareness about health and wellness.
