Sarah Bounse is a Program Officer at the de Beaumont Foundation, managing public health programs and grants that strengthen partnerships, improve communications, and advance health equity policies. Previously, she was the Director of Local Capacity Building at the TN Department of Health, supporting local health councils in developing skills to tackle community health challenges. She also consulted with grassroots organizations to implement anti-racist, equitable practices. As Program Manager at Vanderbilt University Medical Center, she led educational initiatives on health equity for students and staff. Sarah also served as a Health Equity Coordinator for the Metro Nashville Public Health Department, where she embedded health equity into program, policies, and practices into the department. Sarah began her career as a health educator at the Knox County Health Department, addressing health inequities in a community in East Knoxville, TN. She holds an MPH from the University of Kentucky and a BA from the University of Tennessee.
