I am currently a junior at North Carolina Wesleyan University majoring in exercise science and I am a part of the honors program. This is the first study I have been involved in, but I have completed multiple research projects through my classes to give me the basis on how to conduct a research study. I have successfully completed multiple classes related to health and human behavior with a grade of an A. In these classes, I learned about the health implications of sedentary behavior, barriers to exercise, and the health benefits to an active lifestyle. I will also be starting an internship in January of 2025 with the Down East Partnership for Children which is an organization that involves promoting health, nutrition, and exercise at schools to avoid unhealthy and sedentary behaviors.
