Araceli Saeed is an emerging professional and a first-generation student at the University of Central Oklahoma. As a first-generation college student, she recognizes the profound impact education has on one's quality of life. Araceli believes that healthy communities are built on the foundations of health equity and health education, which motivated her decision to pursue a degree in public health. Her passion for this field was further ignited during her practicum at the Oklahoma City County Health Department. Where she engaged with diverse communities to educate them on the importance of COVID-19 vaccination and prevention. Araceli is an active member of the UCO Student Public Health Club, where she serves as the Chair of Research, empowering her peers to be the change they want to see.
Araceli participated in the National Case Study Competition in Health Education in March 2024 and her team won first place. Winning first place not only showcased her hard work but also underscored her commitment to implementing innovative solutions in public health. Araceli is determined to leverage her education to create healthier communities, proving one person's passion can ignite change
