Aishwarya Chalak, BS is a second year master's student and graduate research assistant within the Department of Health and Human Performance at Texas State University. She is currently pursuing her M.S. in Public Health Education and Promotion, and earned her B.S. in Healthcare Studies from the University of Texas at Dallas. Aishwarya is a member of Texas State's Eta Sigma Gamma chapter and the Texas Society for Public Health Education. Her research interests include Asian-American health issues, women's health, and interpersonal violence. Aishwarya is passionate about promoting health among minority population and adapting/translating health information in culturally appropriate manners to facilitate patient-provider interactions.
