Kathleen Hanley has extensive experience in public health, as a both a Doctor of Public Health for 5 years and a Certified Health Education Specialist for over 10 years. She has a background in community health and quality improvement. Her career began as a health educator and she now is a Manager within Innovation and Quality at UTHealth Houston, McGovern Medical School. Her current projects involve immunizations, cancer prevention, patient safety and quality, and health equity. Her passions are mentoring new health educators and exploring innovative equity initiatives. Her public health passion expands beyond her professional roles. She's an avid runner and advocate for women empowerment in running, as Media Relations Coordinator for the Board of Friends of Girls on the Run.
