Maryam Shayegh is a registered dietitian and health advocate with a BS in Nutrition and Dietetics and Masters in Public Policy and Administration from the California State University, Long Beach. As the lead for the Nutrition and Wellness Unit at the Los Angeles County Office of Education, Maryam is dedicated to expanding support for local education agencies (LEAs) and schools in Los Angeles County to establish healthy school communities. Through a variety of grant-funded programs, Maryam collaborates with key partners to provide comprehensive professional learning opportunities and support to LEAs and schools in the areas of nutrition education.
