Public Health Educator
Broome County Health Department
Binghamton, New York, United States
Having first been exposed to public health principals in a research program for first-semester undergraduates, Devin quickly became passionate about health equity and social determinants of health. She dedicated her undergraduate studies to researching how factors such as diet, exercise, and the COVID-19 pandemic correlated with the mental wellbeing of college students. Upon graduating with her Bachelor's in Psychology and Spanish, she entered two Master's programs, earning her MPH and MA in Spanish two years later. During this time, she created capstone projects studying how health literacy and language access can impact a patient's healthcare outcomes. Devin now works as a Public Health Educator at a local health department, focusing on community health and cancer prevention.
