Dr. Na’Tasha Evans holds a Doctorate in Health Education from the University of Toledo, along with a Master’s in Community Health, a Bachelor of Science in Biology, and a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Cleveland State University. She has also earned graduate certificates in Patient Advocacy and Health Care Administration and Policy.
Currently, Dr. Evans serves as Vice Dean for Community Advancement in the College of Medicine at the University of Kentucky, where she leads initiatives that impact over 5,000 faculty, staff, learners, and trainees across four campuses. She also holds the position of Associate Professor with tenure in the Department of Behavioral Science in the College of Medicine.
Dr. Evans' research agenda consists of three interrelated areas focused on health equity: (1) examining maternal, child, and infant health; (2) exploring patient-provider communication; and (3) investigating the health of Black women across the diaspora using both quantitative and qualitative research methods. Dr. Evans has published books, book chapters, and articles, and has presented at national and international conferences.
