Antonio J. Gardner, PhD., MS, MCHES® is an Associate Professor in the Department of Community Medicine and Population Health and Director of Education and Evaluation for Rural Programs at The University of Alabama. He served as the Trustee for Membership & Leadership for SOPHE and developed the LEAD Fellowship Program for SOPHE. He has served on the SOPHE Membership Committee, Resource Development Committee, and chair of the Nominations Committee. He was a member of the HEAR Task Force and served as the Liaison to the Membership Committee for the HBCU Advisory Council. He currently serves as the Co-Associate Editor of Social Media/Podcast for Health Promotion Practice and is Vice Chair of the Steering Committee for the HESPA III Validation Study.
