Marlene K. Tappe, Ph.D. is Professor Emerita of Health Science at Minnesota State University, Mankato. Dr. Tappe was co-chair of the Standards Writing Group for the development of National Health Education Standards: Model Guidance for Curriculum and Instruction (3rd Edition) (National Consensus for School Health Education [NCSHE], 2022). She also collaborated with others to create Teaching Standards-Based Health Education (NCSHE, 2024). She currently represents the Foundation for the Advancement of Health Education on the NCSHE's Management Group and co-chairs the NCSHE's Development Group. Dr. Tappe is the recipient of the 2023 Distinguished Fellow Award from the Society for Public Health Education.
