Dr. Heather Hudson is a Professor and Graduate Coordinator in the Department of Health Sciences at the University of Central Arkansas. She graduated from Southern Illinois University with her PhD in Health Education, is a Master Certified Health Education Specialist (MCHES) and Certified Sexuality Educator (CSE). Among other courses, Dr. Hudson teaches Health Communication and Advocacy, which provides students with necessary skills to develop health resources, using free, basic-level design platforms for novice users. Over the years, her students have developed a variety of skills-based resources to improve health behaviors of Arkansan youth, teens, peers, and others, leading to several awards as well as contracts from organizations requesting additional student-led health resources.
