Associate Dean for Academic Affairs; Instructional Associate Professor

Dr. Rhonda Rahn is an Instructional Associate Professor in the Department of Health Behavior in the School of Public Health at Texas A&M University where she teaches allied, community, and public health students. She also serves as the Associate Dean for Academic Affairs. Dr. Rahn earned her PhD and MS in Health Education, and a BS in Health from Texas A&M University. Prior to teaching, Dr. Rahn worked as a professional health educator at Texas A&M University where she impacted students through increasing knowledge and skills through health promotion programs to encourage healthy behaviors. Her research interests investigate college students' health behaviors including sexuality and peer health education as well as professional preparation for future health educators. Dr. Rahn is a professional member of SOPHE, ACHA, ASHA, ASPPH, and TAHPERD and a Certified Health Education Specialist and has mentored students and new professionals in a variety of different roles as a member of SOPHE, a professional health educator, and a faculty member.
