Sarah String, MPH is a Senior Evaluation Specialist in Public Health Management Corporation’s (PHMC) Research & Evaluation Group. She presently evaluates a community health worker (CHW) training program, to expand and upskill the CHW workforce. Sarah believes public health is for the well-being of all people; therefore it can only be realized by the involvement of all people impacted by it, no mater their position of power. CHWs are a critical, under utilized asset in health care and in cultivating the involvement of underserved communities. Over the past ten years her project portfolio included STEM education, community needs assessments, lung health, care coordination, chronic disease management, health communications, partnership evaluation, and evaluation capacity building.
