Dr. Beth Canfield-Simbro is a Professor of Education at the University of Mount Union. She received her Ph.D. and MPH in Public Health from The Ohio State University and her BS in Biology from Wright State University. Dr. Canfield-Simbro received the 2011 Great Teacher Award at UMU, which is based on student nominations. She is currently conducting research on Medicaid programs in her home state of Ohio and has enjoyed using that research to shape her undergraduate classes. She has presented at conferences on pedagogical issues in health education and public health and belongs to SOPHE, OSOPHE, APHA, and AAHPERD.
