Alyssa Howard is in her third academic year as Assistant Director for Interpersonal Violence Prevention in the Department of Wellness Promotion at the University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB). She is an alumna of UAB, having graduated with a Bachelor's degree in Public Health in 2020 and her Master's in Public Health in 2022, specializing in health behavior. She holds a Certified Health Education Specialist (CHES) certification.
Alyssa's passion for public health is reflected in her research focus on sexual health and wellness, making her a dedicated advocate for these critical aspects of well-being. She has presented at national conferences including National Association of Student Personnel Administrators Strategies Conference and American College Health Association Annual Conference.
