Brooks D. Youngmark, PhD, MPH is an Assistant Professor of Health Sciences at James Madison University.
Raised in rural Kansas, early exposure to the challenges of managing a chronic condition inspired Brooks to pursue a degrees in Community Health Education and Public Health to cultivate a strong foundation in health promotion, program evaluation, and community-based interventions. In his work, Brooks integrates social constructivist insights, empathy and critical thinking into health programming and evaluation to create meaningful change in health outcomes. These innovative pursuits lead Brooks to exploring the ever-developing Esports landscape and studying health education and program implementation for Esports athletes -- where lived experience meets evidence-based practice.
