Rupam Mitra, MS, is a PhD student at the School of Public Health. He received his Master of Science degree in Nutrition and Food Science from the University of Dhaka in 2019. He interned at JiVita Bangladesh, a Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health maternal and child health and nutrition project in Bangladesh. His research interests include food insecurity and its impact on health. He wants to investigate the possible reasons for food insecurity and the coping strategies people use to overcome it. He also wants to work with children, pregnant women, and lactating mothers to improve their nutritional status through evidence-based programs. He has almost three years of working experience in the development sector.
