Sophia Garbarino, MPH, CHESĀ® is a PhD student and Laney Fellow in the Department of Behavioral, Social, and Health Education Sciences. She is interested in leveraging mixed methods, implementation science, behavioral science, and education to improve health services delivery and equity in the United States. Sophia has research experience spanning contraception, trauma-informed care, social connectivity, maternal mortality, and clinical psychology. Prior to doctoral studies, Sophia obtained a Master of Public Health and Certificate in Maternal and Child Health from Emory University. She is also a Certified Health Education Specialist.
