Beth Chaney, Ph.D., MCHES® is a Professor in the Department of Health Science at The University of Alabama. She received her Ph.D. in Health Education from Texas A&M University. Dr. Chaney has served on the Board of Directors for the AAHE and on the Board of Trustees for SOPHE. She is currently serving on the Board for the National Commission for Health Education Credentialing, Inc., and is Chair of the Health Education Specialist Practice Analysis III. She has presented over 100 conference presentations and has published over 100 peer-reviewed articles in her research areas, with grant/project funding from the U.S. Department of Education, Pro-Change Behavior Systems, NC Department of Health and Human Services, the American Cancer Society, and the Office of National Drug Control Policy.
